Pn Syiera Omar, Founder, Creative Director of Harisay Ramo Creatives (HRC).
She has more than a decade of experience in the Creative Industry. Education background in Multimedia studies and majoring in Graphic Design.
She started her creative journey in 2004 working for a famous accessories retail brand in Malaysia called Axxezz as a junior designer and a visual merchandiser. Received field training in visual merchandising and window display from the founder of Axxezz directly Ms Gina Frias.
She then continued her journey in Advertising for a magazine company called MYC (Malaysian Youth Culture). MYC magazine was once famous and distributed all over McDonalds, Collages and Universities around Malaysia between year 2003-2010. She was one of the person incharged of Cover Shoots for the magazine and also in layout designing.
She was later offered a Graphic Designer position in Aquaria KLCC in the year 2007 and work her way up as Aquaria KLCC’s Creative Director in year 2011. She was the key person incharged of most Aquaria KLCC’s graphic collaterals from the design of retail merchandise, exhibit signages, wall inkjets to media ads. And today most of her work still remains in Aquaria KLCC.
In 2011, she was offered a Creative Consultant position with Aquion Internationals, a company that conceptualised theme parks all around the world. She was the key person incharged of Branding and all Creative collaterals for theme park projects.
End of year 2011 during her holiday break, she participated in a program called 1nita. 1nita initiative is an innovating approach for women entrepreneurs to do business by going online and initiated by Mynic Berhad in collaboration with UKM. Pn Syiera had gain recognition by winning the best website produced in the program 1nita and she was then offered to be part of a women association establishment named e-Entrepreneurs Women Association Malaysia (eWA) initiated by Prof Datin Dr Norizan Abdul Razak from UKM. She was appointed as a committee member hence head of ICT.
It is with eWA, when Pn Syiera encountered most women SME’s at that point had really good products but lack in Branding and Packaging design and that was her turning point when she decided to leave her 9-6 job and start her own design firm. In early 2012, Harisay Ramo Creatives (HRC) was established online to serve and help uplift SMEs especially women entrepreneurs in their, Branding, Packaging, Graphic and Printing needs. And til today HRC is still serving and aimed to Empower Entrepreneurs to proudly owned a professional business image that will carry their brand and product far and wide, both locally and international markets across the world.
